Hatfield Planning Board endorsed the Affordable Housing Trust's Community Preservation application. The board voted to authorize Alternate Chair James Tarr to sign the letter; a speaker said the trust is seeking roughly $300,000 to $400,000 with no project yet identified. Assistant Planner Isabella Yeager reported the Attorney General approved the Battery Energy Storage Systems bylaw passed at last May's Town Meeting.
Consultant Wayne Fiden then led the board through the zoning table of uses, where members favored six units per lot by site plan review and special permits for larger projects. A conceptual plan for about 23 age-restricted units at 57 Main Street drew no vote.
