Hatfield Planning Board Chair Named Master Plan Committee Representative

HATFIELD — March 2, 2022 — Hatfield Planning Board unanimously appoints Chair Stephanie Slysz as the town's Master Plan Committee representative. The brief March 2 meeting, attended by Slysz, Alternate Chair James C. Tarr, and member Paul Dostal virtually, had one substantive agenda item: filling the seat before the end-of-March submission deadline to the Select Board and Town Administrator. Tarr made the motion and Dostal seconded it. Slysz cited the committee's likely impact on zoning bylaws as her motivation for seeking the role. The board also discussed a potential shared planning-staff arrangement with Deerfield, which Slysz said appears to be falling apart as Deerfield moves toward hiring its own full-time planner — a topic she plans to raise at a March 22 budget meeting with the Finance Committee and Select Board.
