HATFIELD — The Hatfield Planning Board voted unanimously to adopt new stormwater management rules required for EPA compliance. Alternate Chair James Tarr ran the meeting for the absent Chair Stephanie Slysz, with members David Bell and Douglas Finn voting. Town Administrator Andrew Levine told the board passing the rules "will put us in compliance with the EPA." The board also voted unanimously to forward a letter on housing solutions to the Select Board at resident Mike Bartlett's request, with Finn calling the letter "non-committal." Assistant Planner Isabella Yeager previewed a five-tier zoning amendment for Battery Energy Storage Systems, comparing a 123-kilowatt-hour battery to "the size of a Tesla Cybertruck battery," ahead of a March public hearing.
